Did you purchase something on a same-as-cash deferred payment plan? Perhaps, carpet, furniture or an appliance. If so, CitiFinancial provided the financing and is now sending you a bill. You may want to check your original finance papers to see if CitiFinancial is the finance company.

Acquired or purchased account…

Your account will remain the same, the name of the company is all that changed.

Tax Form 1098 Request

CitiFinancial is required by the IRS to report all real-estate interest amounts in excess of $600 in the 1098 form. If your amount is less than $600 you will need to obtain a letter from your local CitiFinancial branch office. This letter will offer the same benefit as a 1098. Please note that the 1098 form is only for real-estate loans, personal loan customers will not receive a 1098 tax form.
